What To Expect - Cat and a Dog

Your pet’s annual health check-up will include a complete physical examination, discussion of vaccinations, preventive medicines, and diet.   It’s a good idea to keep an accurate diary on things like your pet’s elimination habits and any physical changes or unusual occurrences, including urinary habits and mood swings, along with diet modifications.  Be sure to share this information with our veterinarians, as these seemingly unrelated occurrences may help explain results of your pet’s medical tests.

The veterinarians at Central Animal Hospital are compassionate and willing to explain all the procedures your pet will be undergoing. Our  qualified staff of Licensed Veterinary Technicians, knowledgeable kennel staff, and  friendly receptionists help ensure a pleasant and competent veterinary visit.

Like people, pets need periodic teeth cleaning, as tartar and plaque build up.  Likewise, there may be a time in your pet’s life that he or she needs surgery.  At Central Animal Hospital, surgeries, whether a routine spay or alter, or a more extensive cruciate surgery, for example, are performed daily, utilizing the safest anesthesia.  Radiographs (x-rays), sonograms or ultrasounds, EKG, and in-house laboratory work help to diagnose and ensure that the correct steps are taken to provide for your pet’s health and well-being.

We may refer you to a veterinary specialist, veterinarians who have completed advanced studies in specialties such as ophthalmology, internal medicine, orthopedics, surgery, and ultrasonography.  Most times, we can have these specialists treat your pet at Central Animal Hospital.
