This includes cozy bedding, pet food, plenty of toys, and perhaps a crate (if you will be crate training your puppy). You’ll also want to take some steps to pet-proof your home. This means hiding any loose cords that may be chewed on by your new puppy or kitten, as well as investing in pet gates to keep your puppy out of certain spaces of your home as needed.

When to Bring Your New Pet to a Veterinarian
