"I have been looking for a new Veterinary Hospital for my 13 1/2 year old Yorkie, Samantha, some time now. Our previous place was just not the best option for her as I feel that she needs more attention and care given to her now. All my pet parents can agree with me that we want the absolute best care for our pets. The commute for me to Central Animal Hospital is not bad so I gave it a try. I took Samantha in yesterday and everyone at the front desk is very kind. I got there pretty early since it was my dog's first time. Dr. Palatt came out and escorted us in. It is quite a relief for me that we are allowed into the room with our pets because not every place does that! From the start, Dr.Palatt was incredibly nice, very patient and excellent at communicating with me. She thoroughly examined Samantha and explained what she was doing step by step as she examined her. Samantha has had a cough and a few bumps on her belly for some time now that the other Vet place ignored. Dr. Palatt expressed that she did not find these"normal"so we did a scan of her chest and thankfully got our answer. She is now on medication for her cough and we will get her bumps monitored every once in a while to make sure it is nothing severe. Her bumps are normal for now but I am glad the Doctor was so patient and explained everything to me. While Samantha was getting her blood drawn and Chest X-Ray done, Dr. Palatt would come in very frequently to keep me updated and let me know how she was doing. Overall, from my experience they do not suggest anything unless it is completely necessary and do not just try and get you to pay insane amounts unless it is truly needed for the care of your pet. We could have gotten a biopsy for Samantha but the Doctor explained it is not that precise and she had also mentioned surgery but Dr. Palatt explained that Samanatha's age plays a huge role and we do not want to put her at risk. She put all the options on the table but never made me feel as though I was obligated to make any drastic financial or personal decision. She is incredibly understanding and kind. I am very happy with this experience and I now found my place to take Samantha and knowing she will be in the best care with Doctor Palatt. Thank you so much!!!"
